Colin Hay at L2 Arts & Culture Center in Denver

The band had a night out last Saturday to see Colin Hay at the L2 Arts & Culture Center on Colfax in Denver. You may recall him as the front man for Men At Work, though he’s now on this 11th solo album, Gathering Mercury. I saw him last year when he was in town and this show was just as impressive. Not only is he a fantastic song-writer, he’s a very funny man. If you get a chance, see him.

Highlands Ranch July 4th Show (A.K.A. – Fried Marys)

Bathtub Marys just played at a July 4th celebration in Highlands Ranch and it just might have been the hottest gig of all time. Mind you, not “hot” in the sense of a tight, rocking show but rather “hot” as in Fahrenheit — all 104 of them. Fortunately we were playing on the back of a truck that was metal on all but one side so it created a nice convection oven effect. Nevertheless, good times.

Happy fourth to you all.

Happy Birthday, Trevor…you old git.

Aging is not the same as maturing.  Just saying….

The patriotic birthday boy.
